----TW: MENTIONS DRUG AND ALCOHOL USE----

Uncle Carl has done it again.

A fight broke out with one of the dealers at the casino and he was given a text to meet with the owner who was currently detaining him. From what he read, the dealer's nose was broken, the table was broken, and clothes were ruined. This was costing the two of them money that neither had.

Ignore that his uncle served in the military, if anything, it was more like a punishment. It was giving the man just enough funds to hang himself. Just enough to get whatever cheap thrill off the streets to shoot up or swallow. To drink himself into oblivion. Hit the casino in hopes of making just enough to get something more potent.

Remi was no fool either. While his education and tutoring didn't bring in as much funds as his uncle wanted, it provided what they needed. A roof over their head, clothes on their backs, and food on the table. Honestly? This way of living felt more liberating despite the hardships. That beyond the glistening lights of the inner citadel, the world beyond its walls was just as beautiful. One just had to find it.

That said, the sense of dread that came over him upon catching the tall spires and flashing lights of the casino made his stomach churn. There were a couple of suited men and women waiting for him as one of them signed for him to follow. Assuring him that his uncle was perfectly safe despite being detained."Do not worry," says and signs one of the security guards. "Mr. Wilkenson just wishes to speak with you though I must ask if you have any weapons on you, you must hand them over to us."

The damages must be substantial this time around if I have to speak to them, right? Remiel looked around the casino floor at all the various flashing lights and how the patrons were either joyful, angry, or serious about what machine they were working on or what the dealer had in store.

"It is hard to say, but again, do you have any weapons on your person?" They signed and spoke again. Stepping in front of him before a golden elevator. "I promise you will get them back."

Remiel let out a huff and reached for the straps on his belt to remove the batons that were nestled away. Placing them both in the other's open palms before being escorted by two guards into the elevator where there was only one destination for them to all go. The top floor.

The ride-up seemed to take longer than he expected as he wondered what the best and worst outcomes could be. That the idea of his uncle being banned from the casino would be amazing, but there was the lingering fear of "how much" he would have to get to cover whatever cost incurred. There was a brief moment of letting his uncle handle the consequences of his action though that may come to bite him later.

As soon as those doors opened, Remiel stepped out as one stood in front of him and the other behind him. The energy they were both giving off was not negative nor dangerous which put him at ease. Though the large doors that were at the end of the elaborately decorated hall set off his internal alarms.
But that's besides the point. He saw Isabella fairly regularly, but it wasn't always at her office. Remus's face lights up as he spots his two favourite animals just down the hall. He's wandering through the private areas of the largest casino the Diamonds owned, alone — he knows the way by now, even if the first few months required him getting there via a valet. Which meant he got greeted personally by her little 'security team' — aka, two of her dogs.
The two of them that were previously just sitting outside the office door — sitting tall and taking their job of guarding seriously — were now bounding happily in his direction. Their tails were swinging back and forth and just about knocking them off their feet by the momentum of their hips. Remus laughs joyfully as he drops to his knees, letting the dogs jump all over him as soon as they reach where he was standing.
Check, check, aaand check!

Remus was on a roll since the early hours of the morning, finishing up his duties as treasurer so that he would have the rest of the day for some fun. Remus had already gussied himself up as well — long, flowing hair pulled back into intricate braids, interlaced with golden accessories that gave every bit the impression of a Roman Emperor. Golden makeup had already been applied to his eyes and lips, matching with his golden jewelry. It made Remus feel good to be able to express himself, even if he was still rather eccentric by rich people standards.

But he didn't care what other people thought of him.

The day was young and the night hadn't even begun yet. While Remus already planned to head out to some fancy club later that night for some partying, he didn't quite know what to do with himself in the meantime. Clothes, makeup, and accessories were in place, so all that was left was for the sun to go down behind the walls of Stronghold. Letting out a sigh, Remus pushes himself away from his desk and begins to waltz around the room, light on his feet as he spins and twirls around the room. As he dances, he begins to clean the room, intent on leaving it pristine for his future self. He'd appreciate it later on.

He hums some folksy kind of tune as he dances around the room, not even perturbed when knocking at the door alerts him of someone's presence. He continues to dance and hum away, stopping only when a voice suddenly breaks through his moment of concentration.

"Mr. Wilkenson here to see you?" comes a hesitant voice from the door, and Remus twirls around in place until he's facing the hesitant young man that stands in the doorway, unsure of how to proceed. A gleeful expression lights up Remus's face when the name registers with him — oh, he was being paid a visit by Leander? How wonderful! He was always delighted to see the King of Diamonds. Who wouldn't be? He was rather easy on the eyes after all, and Remus certainly did like pretty things.

"Oh! Well, do show the man in! Don't keep him waiting!" Remus replies with a laugh, shooing the man out the door with his hand. As soon as the young man is gone, the treasurer spins in place, dances across the room — and throws himself atop his desk. It had long since been cleared of work, piled away in some cabinet that would later be ushered up to the Ace herself, little Miss Isabella. Thankfully that meant he didn't have to watch for papers scattering everywhere from the force of his leap. Remus quickly positions himself on the desk so that he's laying sideways along it, one hand used to prop up his head as he smiles gleefully in the direction of the door, waiting for his guest to arrive.

Eve considered herself as someone who worked hard as well as one blessed with fortune. Had she not rallied up gullible little insects in the Farm, she wouldn't have been able to sacrifice them for her escape. Had it not been for turning a corner, she wouldn't have run into Spades territory and had herself dragged to their headquarters. If not for luck, Jocelyn wouldn't have seen her, pitied her and taken her in. If she happened to be any less beautiful than she was now, Eve wouldn't have been able to seduce Jawbreaker and save herself from being the gang's toy. And if not for her innate talents and genius, she wouldn't have caught Atlas' eyes.

Yet even though she wasn't really required to, Eve sometimes finds herself playing drug bunny. It wasn't often but it usually would be in one of those high-end casinos the Diamonds run. Most of the time, she did it to find more business for her gang. Sometimes, she did it for the thrill of wrapping men and women alike around her little finger.

In one mini silken red dress, she played hooky with a group of foolish little brats in one of the roulette tables. Eve didn't need to bother talking sales to them as they greedily asked for the candies. However, if there was any effort exerted on her part, it was refraining from slitting their throats as one sniffed on the white powdery material from her foot up her slender leg while the rest drunkenly jeered.

Although the world appeared to be drearily purging itself of all life, Eve found there is never a shortage of lecherous men. When the act was done, she crossed her leg over the other and put on a cheery grin. "Let's get back to the game shall we?" Draping herself over another guy's arm, she pressed for him to bet everything on the next round and watched with satisfaction as he lost.

"Aww honey, it's okay, your friends will get the next one..." That's one brat down, three more to go. She only need to have them empty their pockets here, then call Jawbreaker over so he could wrangle them up for all the drugs they bought "on credit". If they can't cough up more cash, they will be indebted to the Spades.

Deceiving people had become quite the game for Isabella, pretending to be this perfect little angel in need of protection when she was around her family and the inner citadel snobs that she often rubbed shoulders with. She was so fragile and weak after all, how could she ever survive in this cruel cruel world without someone watching out for her? Ha. What most people didn't realize about Bella was that after her little incident when she was nineteen she grew a backbone and a rebellious streak like no other, joining the diamonds and working her way up through the ranks till she was finally able to give the former Ace a swift push off the roof of his own casino just so she could claim his spot. Appearances weren't always what they seemed and that delicate and fragile flower had a few thorns of her own.

She was the fresh new Ace of Diamonds having acquired the position only a few weeks prior and because of that she was still learning her new role and trying to fix a few problems that the last Ace had allowed to slip through the cracks. It was her first night back in her favorite casino, a glorious little place in the middle of all the action, it had everything you could need, bars, entertainment, and a bunch of suckers ready to give away every penny they had earned that week. Amazing. Unlike some of the lower class establishments, she often visited on business this one catered to more of the higher class society versus your typical military mongrels and general workers that had too much downtime.

She stepped into the building, a storm roaring outside but that didn't stop the crowds ready to drop their entire lives into this place, her dog walking closely next to her shaking the water from its fur as it stepped inside. She navigated the crowds with ease, smiling sweetly at many of the patrons as she did, none of them knew her from adam and that was what she loved most about all of this. Standing at a whopping five foot four inches and weighing about as much as a wet blanket she didn't fit the typical depiction of a crime lord, another deception that she loved oh so much. It didn't take long for a waitress to bring her over a glass of wine that she soon found herself sipping on while she observed the room. " Pretty good turn out considering the torrential downpour huh pup?", she asked her dog before patting the seat next to her and inviting it up into the booth with her to which it quickly obliged.
